bow place

Here you shoot at targets in competition style

The archery division of the Hechingen rifle club has three shooting ranges, which we present below

bow place

Our archery course is right next to the Schützenhaus and is easy to reach on foot or by car. There are enough parking spaces available.

The well-kept lawn is over 30 m wide and almost 100 m long and therefore suitable for competitions according to the rules of the major archery associations. Our targets are currently at distances of between 10 m and 50 m and can be equipped with target faces of different sizes. The use of the archery range is only possible for club members and invited guest shooters.

In the summertime, training and general archery take place here several times a week. Also club championships and other competitions. Trial courses are also held here. Of course, there is also plenty of socializing at one or the other barbecue party on the Bogenplatz.

bow place order

The following rules must be observed on the archery range of the Schützengilde Hechingen to ensure safety and proper shooting:

user

  • The Bogenplatzplatz is only available to members of the Schützengilde Hechingen. Guest shooters are allowed if they are participating in an event or have previously registered with the Range Officer.

  • Independent archery is only permitted for people with a handicap.
  • Adolescents under the age of 15 may not start shooting outside of supervised training without the supervision of competent adults.

  • The shooting supervision is always carried out by a shooting supervisor. In his absence or in the case of substitution, the supervision is carried out by another competent member of the association. Outside of supervised training, the member who has been with the club for a longer period of time is the shooting manager if no other agreement can be reached among those present. The instructions of the shooting director must be followed. In addition to the board of directors, he exercises the domiciliary rights over the Bogenplatz.

safety rules

  • The archery field may only be entered via the staircase behind the shooting line.

  • Caution: There is a risk of death if you enter the field from the side or against the shooting direction!

  • Only traditional bows, recurve bows and compound bows up to a maximum of 60 lbs are permitted on the archery course. Broadheads and crossbows are forbidden!
  • Shooting may only be done from the shooting line in the direction of the targets.
  • Steep shots upwards are forbidden!
  • As long as there are people in the shooting range, no arrows may be placed.
  • Shooting may only take place when there are no longer any people in the shooting range.
  • After shooting, immediately step back from the shooting line and place the bow behind it.
  • The shooting area may only be entered after approval by the shooting manager with the note "Safety!" or an unmistakable sign.
  • All shooters go forward together to the targets to record the hit.
  • Arrows are drawn by archers lining up to the side of the butt; other people present keep a safe distance of about two meters from the disc.

behaviour rules

  • Consumption of alcohol is only permitted in small quantities that do not impair safety; the consumption of narcotics and similar substances is prohibited.
  • Smoking is only permitted in the area where the ashtray has been set up.
  • Noise and disruptive activities are to be avoided.
  • Mutual appreciation, respect and helpfulness as well as friendly cooperation are expressly desired.
  • The general rules of custom and decency are to be observed; tasteless, discriminatory or racist statements as well as remarks and gestures with sexist content are undesirable.
